The Great Return!

All Saints' and All Souls' November 6th

Sunday November 6th will see our return to our homebase for ministry at the corner of 13th and Vine! Please come along for a joyous day of blessing and celebration

Many celebrations are being planned upon our return -- for our recommissioning of our buildings, for 125 years of ministry, for the next 125 years of minstry in Christ, and inviting the community to continue in partneship in service. As dates are established please come and help us celebrate!

Saint Barnabas is following Christ's call into the 21st century!

The people of Saint Barnabas are excited to have committed to a significant project of renewing and renovating the Marshall House wing of our buildings. This project will significantly upgrade the systems and appearance of the interior of Marshall house while gaining us more floor space and greater flexibility for our Sunday School room use and hospitality to the community around us.

Renovations will take approximately one year. During this time we have temporarily moved to the historic Warren United Methodist Church, located nearby on the corner of 14th Ave. and Gilpin Street.

Please join us at:

Welcome to the Saint Barnabas website.  Here you will find information about our life in Christ as community, and how we try to extend that sense of community beyond our home base.

The Saint Barnabas community has been gathering together for 124 years. We may be well over a century old but our thinking is not!

Earlier generations of our community, sensing the call of Christ to be a servant community as well as a community gathered in prayer and worship, engaged with the world and the issues of their day: Reaching out to those caught in the tragedy of suicide, recognizing the need for quality education for children of all capacities, standing up for civil rights for all regardless of race, insisting that women must have their rightful and equal place in the life and ministry of the church and our nation.

In our turn we are vitally engaged in: Standing with the LGBT community and insisting all of us are family in Christ together, loved by Christ together, created good in the image of God.  We work as well to support outreach and service to families and children who live in motels on Colfax, serve as a host site for a shelter for women who are homeless, cultivate plots in a community garden to provide fresh produce to local food banks, advocating for a just and compassionate society

While engaging in service to those whom Christ loves we are at heart a community grounded in the sacraments and gathered together to support one another in our life in Christ.

You are welcome at Saint Barnabas just as you are: A beloved child of God!
