Adult Forum will spend some time this February with discussions around a book called "Everything Belongs" by Richard Rohr.
"Everything Belongs" is an invitation to look at how we see ourselves in relation to God and our world, to discover where we may need to adjust our "lens" on God and the world, and to embrace a stance where everything belongs… there is nothing wasted from God's viewpoint! As we adjust our lens on ourselves and the world, we will be drawn in to new ways to pray and orient ourselves to God, especially through contemplative prayer. Rick Angell and Patti Anderson will co-lead this interactive forum, using Richard Rohr's book as a guide. Come ready to discuss as well as practice God's presence together.
Richard Rohr is a Franciscan priest and founder of the Center for Action and Contemplation in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has committed his life to the integration of contemplation and social action. The website for the Center is cac.org. Rohr's many books include a new release on the Trinity called The Divine Dance. Rohr's book, Everything Belongs, is widely available from your usual sources or it can be purchased from the CAC website. It was originally published in 1999 and reissued with a Study Guide in 2003. Both editions will work for our sessions.
The dates for this series will be February 5, 12, 19 and 26, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Barnabas Church, 1280 Vine Street, Denver, CO, 80206.
Please join us for this exciting series of discussion and contemplation in St. Barnabas' newly-renovated space!
