For everyone who missed it in August, Erin Bell - mezzo/contralto and her friends Stephanie Hood - soprano and Matt Kingham - piano will be giving an encore performance of their recital, Songs for Humanity, on Saturday, November 4 at 7 pm in Lukens Wing.
Part of a series of performances aiming to raise funds for important causes, this recital to support the Southern Poverty Law Center was so well received that Erin, Stephanie, and Matt were encouraged to perform it again with the simple hope that more people would be able to hear the fantastic program of opera, art song, and musical theater - including a scene from Wicked provided to the trio by the composer, Stephen Schwartz! An added bonus will be the ability to perhaps double (or more!) the $540 we made from the first performance, of which every dollar was donated directly to the SPLC.
So please, add this concert to your calendar and bring a donation to hear this powerful, moving program - and if you can't make it yourself, please be sure to tell your friends. Contact Erin for more information. An event invite will also be posted on the St. Barnabas Facebook page as soon as it is available. See you there!
